Our Ingredients

Every ingredient in every Bared product is here for a reason. Below is the key ingredient library we formulate from and what each one does.

Botanicals

Magnesium hydroxide: Natural odor neutralizer. Raises pH at the skin surface to stop odor-causing bacteria without blocking sweat glands.

Arrowroot powder: Absorbs moisture, helps deodorant glide on smoothly, and keeps skin feeling dry without talc or aluminum compounds.

Shea butter (unrefined): Rich in fatty acids that condition and protect skin. Sourced from small cooperatives in West Africa.

Neem leaf extract: Antimicrobial and antifungal. Supports scalp health and keeps bacteria in check on the hair shaft.

Rosemary leaf extract: Stimulates scalp circulation and adds natural preservative properties that extend shelf life without synthetic additives.

Apple cider vinegar: Clarifies buildup, rebalances scalp pH, and adds shine to hair strands without synthetic silicones.

Jojoba beads: Biodegradable exfoliant derived from jojoba wax. Buffs without microtears. We use these in place of plastic microbeads.

Aloe vera: Hydrates, soothes, and provides a slip base for cleansers. We use cold-processed aloe, not reconstituted powder.

Witch hazel: Astringent and anti-inflammatory. Tightens pores and reduces redness without the drying effect of alcohol-based toners.

Wild rose hip: High in vitamin C and essential fatty acids. Used in our scrub for its natural antioxidant and brightening properties.

Sweet almond oil: Emollient, non-comedogenic carrier that locks moisture into skin after exfoliation.

Beeswax: Natural emulsifier and barrier that seals moisture without petrochemicals. Sourced from domestic apiaries.

Calendula extract: Soothes irritated or sensitive skin. Anti-inflammatory and healing. Used in our balm for its gentleness.

What we never use

Synthetic fragrance, parabens, sulfates (SLS/SLES), aluminum compounds, phthalates, petrochemicals, mineral oil, talc, synthetic dyes, or microplastics.
